Let's be realistic. People are going to vote for that which elevates themselves, first and foremost. This is true of most people, regardless of the party they belong to. I'm not trying to single out the left, or right.

I'd be somewhat surprised if the militant-style feminists voted for McCain/Palin, because she doesn't stand for what they stand for. But big deal ... they were never going to vote for McCain, anyway.

The question is, how many middle of the road women who aren't so extreme will be drawn to vote fo McCain because of Palin? I think McCain has a much better chance of pulling it off now, than he did before the VP nomination.

I'd still rather have one of the better Republican candidates than McCain, but at least the VP is somebody I can get behind.

I might not like the party, but I can't disagree with that...
