Icon9 Are we not doomed already?

Can anyone deny that we are already doomed?

I don’t know which feeling is more dominant these days. I am ashamed, dismayed, appalled, and afraid. I wish someone could really convince me that we, as a country, are not utterly doomed at this point.

Our fate was sealed on June 3, 2008, when Hillary Clinton conceded the democratic presidential nomination to Barack Obama. Now in no way was I rooting for Clinton to actually become president, that in and of itself would have condemned us in many ways. Had she clinched the nomination, however, intelligence would have still had a fighting chance to prevail in November. I am not referring to political party affiliations, beliefs, platforms, or agenda. I am not referring to male vs. female, or poor vs. rich. I am simply referring to the racial divide which has always existed in this country, and that is about to finally destroy it.

The possible outcomes of the November election are now as follows, none of which leave any possibility of continued peace in the U.S.:

Possible outcome #1: Obama is elected – The slow death of the country

The economy will experience an almost immediate spike from consumer spending of the irretrievably stupid. I truly wish I could use ignorance to describe this, but with the availability of information these days, ignorance is no excuse. Why wouldn’t the masses start spending their wages? After all, the “wealth sharing” will soon commence and the roughly 50% of Americans that are currently on the government teat will soon be joined at the mailbox by millions more to receive their hard earned government check. The obliteration of capitalism, and what little is left of motivation in the American workforce, will likely pale in comparison to the international backlash of electing a radical Muslim to the office of the president.

Possible Outcome #2: McCain is elected – Burn baby, burn

Remember the 1992 LA riots a.k.a. the Rodney King riots? An entire city was held hostage, and an entire nation held its breath, over the acquittal of four officers in the beating of Rodney King (an ex-con with a long history of violence) after he charged/lunged at one of them. The riots that followed resulted in the death of 52 people and over a billion dollars in damage. Why was such carnage afflicted upon a community, on a city, on a country? Because Rodney King was black, that’s all. Now imagine if that scenario, that being that the black community felt a black man was treated unfairly, imagine that scenario projected on the entire population of the United States. This was a result of a perceived injustice by a total of 17 people (4 officers, 12 jurors, 1 judge) against a convicted felon. What will the reaction be if that injustice is perceived against the “savior of the universe” the “savior of the US” the “savior of mankind” the “messiah”? If this supposed injustice is committed by millions of voters?

Possible outcome #3: Obama is assassinated – Helter Skelter

For those of you that do not know the meaning of this phrase, it is not just a Beatles song. Evolving from the innocent name of a children’s theme park slide, it was adopted by Charles Manson to describe the apocalyptic war between blacks and whites. This is the scariest of all scenarios simply because it will be instantaneous. What will transpire is an overnight breakdown of society, rioting, assault, arson, and the murder of any white person brave (or dumb) enough to show their face in public.

I have no doubt that I will be thought a racist for saying such things. I guess I’m just a typical rich white man. Or is it typical redneck cracker? Or is it just uneducated white person? Or is it older white American? I can’t decide which one is blamed more for the injustice against blacks in America. The fact is that I am none of the above, but I do fit the only common attribute among those blamed for the tragic state of the country, I am white. I realize that I owe many people an apology for that, and by all means, hold your breath while waiting for it.

I also have no doubt that trying to convince anyone otherwise would be futile. Those that will take it that way have long proven their inability to reason or accept harsh truth. Suffice it to say that I am not anti-black. I am however, anti-jihad. It is an unfortunate but absolute truth that there are many racists in America. Isn’t it ironic, though, that racism seems to be the last thing in the country that remains segregated? White’s are “racist”, black’s are “proud”…sure.

If you find yourself feeling guilty about an uneasy feeling on the subject of Obama as president, that’s the media trying to convince you that your self-preservation instinct is actually racism.

If only there were someway to show proof of the racism that exists against whites, if there were some way to poll Americans on their true feelings about the other race. Oh wait…we already have, and it’s clear which group is more racist:

Zogby Poll results:

Blacks for Obama – 89%
Whites for Obama – 37%
Blacks for McCain – 2%
Whites for McCain – 46%

You will be doomed if you vote for a third term of Bush. Then I will laugh when you all start complaining about McCain because it was your own fault you voted for him.
I think you are jumping the gun a bit mentioning riots and whatnot, which will not likely happen. If they do, shame on those who take part.

I will be moving if we vote a third term for Bush. France here I came. McCain won't win. He still does not have the correct combination of numbers.

Elections always bring out these wacky trolls whose only contribution is confused nonsense.

Someday a child will ask why did you allow them to destroy the earth. A vote for McCain/Palin is a vote against Polar bears and the natural beauty of our nation.

I don't believe we are doomed, but I do believe we are sinking like a rock and that unless drastic action is taken, we will fall.

Drastic action isn't electing Obama or electing McCain -- it is the American people standing up to whichever of these bozos gets elected and saying we are mad as hell at what you and your kind have done to this country and won't take it anymore. Shape up or we will replace you with someone who is qualified.

You are right and wrong moom.

We are doomed, as far as life as we know it in the US if headed for an end. But not because of any political candidate so much. no matter who you elect they can't pull crude oil out their ass.

Even the deity of Ron Paul can't fix us...we are screwed unless we come up with new energy sources that replace our rapidly declining fossil fuel sources.

And the new sources must replace the old very closely in order to keep the status quo AKA retirement fund from tanking - which is what fuels much of the governments agenda.

That is why the government hides so much...it would raise hell with the Dow.

But again, that job is almost an impossibility no matter who the Pres is.

We have built a defective model for long term population support. We can only keep on keeping on as long as the crude is free flowing and affordable by the masses.

It would be one thing if we all reverted back to rural living, burning trees for fuel and housing and living within our comfortable means allotted to us by nature, as our ancestors did back in the day. But seven billion people can't burn the trees!

We must accept that we have built our world on unsustainable means - a means built artificially on fossil fuel.

And when we live out of balance with natures intended means there is a price to pay to come back in balance with nature. And the price usually extracts pain from us in the adjustment process.

It has been estimated that for the earth to sustainably support its population without fossil fuels a 90% dieoff must occur. I don't know if that is the right figure, but I do know humans could not live as they do unless it was funded by artificial means via fossil fuels.

http://dieoff.org/

So if this dieoff happens, of course there will be great amounts of pain in the world. But it is natures intended balancing act. It also reminds us that nature does not bow to humans - it is humans that always bow to nature.

Animals live within their intended balance with nature and it is only man that destroys his environment and has to pay the price through pain and suffering from working against nature.

I am utterly in awe of the amazing amount of racist, fear mongering, fatalistic and downright loony information that this original post contains.
I am also quite surprised that the "militant queers" that wish to destroy families and abolish churches is not included anywhere in this doomsday scenario.

My God what's it gonna take for us homosexuals to be taken seriously?
We will by God redecorate your homes and take over your softball leagues.
It will happen, I've seen the plans!

Oof, sorry, my foil hat slipped off for a minute there.

I assume the OP is referring to the bigoted portion of the population that subscribes to these grim (and stupid) predictions...
Yes, they are doomed. I consider that a good thing.

Ahh, you are wise beyond my years oh sage one.
I had not even thought about those bigoted, ignorant amongst our general population being the doomed ones.
That does indeed put things in a different perspective.
