A vote for Obama goes against that principle even more. Don't you know which party is for bigger government? I know they are both, to an extent, but it is one of the Democratic party's main principles. The Republicans at least say that they are against it.

Default Speaking of Lies and the Politicians who love them

Has anyone else seen the "McCain was a KKK member as a youth" e-mail yet? It is being widely discussed on "Hey Martha" (probably elsewhere as well) as if were substantiated. E-mails continue to "junk up" my box, claiming new "insights" into the "scandal". Wolf Blitzer (CNN) recently stated that the Georgia and North Carolina Democratic party ar running (or considering running?) ads on the topic.
The only thing lacking is a thread of evidence. If anyone has any anywhere, please fill me in. If not, please stop "filling in" my e-mail box.

This is interesting to me as it seems most people think everyone lies. Is there no sense of degree in our lies or have we become so cynical we simply hide in our ideology knowing we lie and knowing the other lies. From a moral perspective weird stuff as it seems we then stand still going nowhere.

So lies that get us into a war are equivalent to the lie the wife looks great in that dress!

No. Too much, in youth we are a lot of dumb things. I have seen several on Obama but people stopped sending to me as I reply all with a counter position.

After Bush that is a hard partisan argument to put forward as who would expected the enormous growth of government under Bush. In and of itself government isn't a bad thing, consider if regulatory oversight had been stronger in the housing market for instance.

...

You just said at least the republicans blatantly lie, where the democrats tell the truth.

I'm not a partisan, and I hate Bush. But you should still pay attention to the ideals that the two parties hold.

One party, the Republicans are telling the truth in their rhetoric, and not following through, and the other party, the Democrats, is lying the the American people and actually following through.

No, you said, that at least the republicans pretend they are not for bigger government.
