If the original premise is true, then I'm one of the rare 0.1% who followed Palin's progress long before she got the nod as McCain's VP. In fact, I've known about her since the last mid-terms.
Or rather I *thought* I new about her.
As with any other candidate, new facts and allegations come to light when they take the national stage and in her case I find some of them highly troubling.

The nomination of Sarah Palin is beginning to make me sick to my stomach. The more I read about her and listen to her, the less I like her. The last thing the country needs is another administration with a limited understanding of the law and preference for belief over rational consideration of facts, knowledge of history and economics. What has she been saying? She elevates sacrifice/"country first" and then proceeds to trash Obama's work in community organizing. Her experience as "mayor"?? In Maine, towns that are the size of Wasila usually have town managers, not mayors. I dislike her mocking, aggressive manner and I think that the "rising star" label is due to the fact that she is a pretty fundamentalist. She is more attractive than Pat Robertson-that is true.
