Yes, Allah means God in Arabic. Christians just use the word 'Allah' to try and isolate the Muslim God from their own, to make Islam seem 'alien' even though both religions are Abrahamic in origin and share many of the same stories etc in their holy texts.

Hey, what strikes me about religious extremists is that they all start to sound the same. That is to make religion and government one institution. But that idea goes against what a "republic" is. Remember how the USA is a republic?

Christians, Jews and Muslims all worship the same God, but somehow they disagree on almost everything. If you try to put one of those religious groups in charge of a nation, it would be unhealthy for the followers of the other religious groups. Unhealthy is a "kind" way of putting it.

Look at genocide, the crusade 'wars', and the religious civil war in Iraq for reference. God give's man 'choice.' We should never had potential of taking away freedoms of our personal lives and bodies... spiritual or otherwise.
