You know whats refreshing? Charlie Rose. Theres no graphics flying across the screen (with sound effects). No mass of people rumbling in the background, or no 15 blinking monitors, no flags, and no wolf blitzer. Just the people, you can't not focus on what they are saying.

i saw this on TV today. and you can forget how trashy cable news is when you watch it too much. all flash, no substance. everything is chopped into 5 minute chunks and everything is "quick! you only got 5 seconds to respond!". when they get back to that issue later for another 5 minutes, they only scratch a different part of the surface. no depth, no progression, no real discussion or analysis.
