Default Karl Rove criticizes McCains ads?!

Rove: McCain has gone "one step too far" with Ads.

Quote:
(CNN) – Former Bush adviser Karl Rove suggested Sunday that John McCain had gone “one step too far” in some of his recent ads attacking Barack Obama.

Rove has leveled similar criticism against Obama. “McCain has gone in some of his ads — similarly gone one step too far,” he told Fox News, “and sort of attributing to Obama things that are, you know, beyond the ‘100 percent truth’ test.”

The Obama campaign immediately leaped on the quote. "In case anyone was still wondering whether John McCain is running the sleaziest, most dishonest campaign in history, today Karl Rove — the man who held the previous record — said McCain's ads have gone too far," said campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor

How fraudulent is your campaign when even Karl Rove calls foul on the legitimacy of his partys ads? lol that's hilarious.

Wow. That`s nuts. This is the weirdest campaign ever. But I guess this could also be another Rove tactic.

Distance himself from McCain by seeming to criticize him. That way, McCain seems more like a reckless maverick.

Or maybe the republican party is imploding on itself...

reckless yes... but I don't see how a Rove-separation tactic, considering the content he's speaking of, will come out positively for McCain.

The great thing about the Republican party is that everyone speaks their mind and are free to disagree. In the Democrat party they fax out the talking points every morning and everyone gets in lockstep.

Like Tucker Bounds doesn't?

They are doing everything they can to shield palin... why?

If they have nothing to hide, and are truly the straight talk express, then Palin should be available for questions, to be more available for Q&A's.

Quite frankly, Obama didn't start running any attack ads, until McCain did.

McCain knows if he sticks to the issues, he's doomed. So he unleashed the dogs of war, and the false attack ads.

I am still a bit miffed with Obama for going the same route... 2 wrongs do not make a right, but on the other hand if he just sat there... McCain would be able to say what he wanted with no repercussions.

You mean a sleazebag like Karl Rove can actually critize anything?

How are they hiding Palin? She's been a VP choice for 2 weeks and has already sat for a major interview with ABC.

And Obama started the attack ads and lying with his "McCain wants to stay in Iraq 100 years" crap knowing full well what John meant when he said that.
