Default Conservatives and 'military experience'

Does that mean conservatives support a military dictatorship in America?

And I suppose when the Dems ran Kerry last time around they weren't highlighting his military experience?
You know better than that; it's called "hyperbole".

Probably the last republican to have military experience that is meaningful was Eisenhower. Assuming experience has meaning is always a stretch, consider they bragged Bush was a business major and he would run the country efficiently? Now don't fall on the floor laughing but it was true. That idea is laughable in so many ways today. A person's values judgment and education mean more imo. As the country runs from Bush it runs to McPalin a carbon copy, kinda sad.

This is the Bush-McCain economy. Senator McCain may have forgotten, but President Bush already tried his economic policies and the results are not good. We have just been through a business cycle in which the wage of the typical worker and the typical working family fell. This is the first time that has ever happened."

You assume I am some kinda of Democrat? I support Obama at this election because of the alternative, nothing more.

No you’re either a Socialist or Communist who likes the weatherman. And yes you are closer to the Democrats than Republicans but I am giving Democrats a bad name for saying that and you don’t like Capitalist. You do know people can look at your historical post right. I would say you’re a fanatic.

So if you are in the military you support fascism? Some of our nation's greatest leaders were military men. Military helps create leaders and gives a person great work experience and values that you can't get in a lot of places. What's wrong with the military? They protect the people and the country.

KSig, pretty much said it.

Google Oath of military service.

Read what those in the military, both enlisted and commissioned, are defending and supporting.

It's the U.S. Constitution.

This thread is rediculous. Because I would prefer my president to have a strong military background due to the fact that is the ultimate proving ground of leadership, I somehow now support a military dictatorship? Silly thread.

No, I don't care what you are. My point is that 4 years ago the Democrats were the ones harping on "military experience", so by your reasoning did they want a dictatorship? Hardly.
The whole line of reasoning is absurd, as you no doubt knew even as you typed the OP.
