Default The Commodity Futures Modernization Act

If anyone is still confused as to what started our economic melt down,I have been harping on this for months now,If you want to read the whole act go to Phil Gramm.com,it tells you everything you want to know.Last night on cnn an economic specialist, when asked why did this happen and who is to blame, the ANSWER was Alan Greenspan and Phil Gramm, now just in case any of you are not aware,Phil Gramm (is) the ECONOMIC DIRECTOR of mccains campaign, and promised by mccain that if he becomes pres,Gramm will lead the ECONOMIC department for the white house,So,when you listen to mccain on his stumps, when he says he will stop this corruption,he will reform, this will never happen again,I just have to say, mccain knew about it for years, participated in it,prospered because of it,and if elected promises it to continue. And if any of you gop supporters refuse to accept this FACT and vote for this piece of ****,then you get what you deserve, nothing!Because after the gops are done there will be nothing?

Most economists are pointing to excessive deregulation in the 1990's that was supported by both parties as the root cause of today's economic problems.

This is the bill they are talking about....IT is 2 clicks away....Phil Gramm.com-tells you all about the deregulation, and how it never went to the usual commitee votes and how it was attached to an 11,000 page appropriations bill that pres clinton signed into law in 2000.This bill is what they are talking about all over the news today.

That is correct. Clinton signed the law. It was inserted as an undebated amendment to that appropriations bill. That's right, 99% of the congress never even knew about it before it became law. Gramm subverted the democratic process to get it passed, and he is proud of that amendment. Had Clinton NOT signed it, it would have been another government shut-down lke the ones in 1995-1996. No way Clinton was going to shut down the government for the Democrats that close to an election. This bill represents everything that is broken in Washington in 240 pages and a signature.

THIS is the change McCan't is talking about?!?!??!
