Not exactly inclined to read the article when the excerpt is so stupid- "our self-appointed aristocracy" (wasn't that usually tied to money?) I don't theink anyone slef-appointed themselves, I only ever hear the term as being deogatory, usually from some hack's mouth.

Having read it, I wish I hadn't. That was really bad man, notably how much he felt he had a licensce to speak for his opponents, and how wrong he gets it.

Edit: btw, any fear I have of the religious amongst us has nothing to do with Palin, its got more to do with religious wars etc, those nasty things that keep popping up in nominally happy, religious societies.

As for the "self appointed aristocracy", surely you're not questioning the elitism shown by the hard left? There are 250 posts on this very forum that say that the average American is not qualified to pick the president, and they should just stay out of the election, and let the smart ones decide. The attacks by the left on middle America, and even, to some extent, by Obama, all reflect a clear elitist attitude.
