Icon9 Obama?, huh, you'll see the mistake!

Not so long ago the now democratic congress made us alot of verbal commitments that they were going to do this and that when in fact they have'nt done a thing but take vacations they did'nt deserve. they made a total fool of us knowing they were'nt going to do anything. they talk so much garbage but yet do nothing. thats exactly what obama is doing, he's going around talking all these great things he's gonna do. he's not going to do any more than congress has done and thats nothing! he clearly sees that congress made all these verbal commitments to us and thats what got them elected. well, he's attempting to make a fool out of us again by talking all these great wonderful things just so he can be the first black man to be elected president. he cares nothing about you or me. why do you think there are these other countries that want obama to be the president? because they know they are going to be able to get over on him, they watch our politics, they are not stupid! if we think we can hardly afford things now, just wait and see what happens if he gets elected! he's got no experience non-whatsoever, but has the adacity to talk about Gov. palin who has alot more experience than he does. mccain really stuck it to obama by picking a very good female VP when obama chose not to. thats his fault. mccain played this pick real slick and now obama talks bad and attacks gov. palin because he knows now that he screwed up. he should have chosen senator clinton but its too late now. if this is any indication of his judgement abilities, then we are certainly in trouble if he gets elected. one thing that i do know for sure, if he gets elected and screws up royally like i suspect he will do, then those of you who have read what i've typed here, will indeed remember it. we really have'nt learned anything after all these years when selecting the best man for president, but from this day forward, we had better start doing our own homework on our presidential candidates.

So the Republican ticket will be better some how? (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) please, look what the Republicans did between 2000 and 2005. Do you really think we will be better with Republicans?

I would think the goal first and foremost when running for office is to win. While I dislike Hillary and would hate to see her in the White House, she would have locked up the Presidency for Barack. Of course Barack would have to worry about the tendency of people in the way of the Clintons dying.

How is it hypocritical to say she would have been the better choice of Obama?

I disagree with this post on several points, palin was not a good judgement call for mccain,it was pure political juggling, that is now showing in the polls, she lost favorability by 19 points yesterday, the shine is coming off the apple.OBAMA on the other hand chose wisely, and the polls are showing that also, last week gallop polls showed mccain 49%-OBAMA 44%,today sept 18,OBAMA 47%,mccain 45%.And your post is of course pure assumption,I however believe OBAMA will DO what he has promised on the campaign,he already has made changes,(for example; forever changed the way campaign s are financed)And in my opinion ANYTHING OBAMA does when pres is an improvement from what we have now,if the gop has their say,we won't have diddly squat. The last couple of days individuals lost 800 BILLION $'s,WE taxpayers bailed out another company for 85 BILLION,and the people that bailed them out can't even go to the bank for a loan,The flow of money is at a complete standstill. The auto company's are now knocking on the white house doors for a handout, just in the last 2 days, thousands of jobs were lost ,coupled with the job loss since the beginning of the year, and you want to put a gop back in the white house, that thinks our current economic crisis is all in our head. Any person that thinks we are going to be better off in the coming years with mccain at the helm, deserves what they will get, which of course is nothing, unless you are among the "ELITE" 1% of our country.

First of all, it's "a lot" not "alot". Second, it's "haven't" not "have'nt". Third, Obama, Clinton, McCain and Plain are proper names and require capitalization. Fourth... Oh, forget it. If you are going to rant nonsense, at least use spell check so that we can read this stuff. It's REALLY distracting, and makes people less likely to take you seriously.

Now then, America knows Congress is hampered with a majority far short of the President's veto. America knows that veto stamp collected dust and dry rot for six years until Bush and the "drunk" Republicans (like the "drunk" folks on Wall Street, get it?) lost their majority.

America is not stupid, and my vote in the polls reflects Congress's disapproval rating, but it's disapproval for the REPUBLICANS.

They screwed everything up so badly, and even after the country turned Congress over to the Democrats, they still don't get it. Which is why they will get their butts handed to them in their hats in the next election, House - Senate - White house.

BAD REPUBLICANS! BAD! NO! NO MORE EXCITED PIDDLING ON THE FLOOR BECAUSE OF "NO VETO" LEGISLATION!!! BAD REPUBLICANS!

While I agree that the Democratic Congress has sat on their collective butts since taking control in '06, I still don't have a "warm fuzzy feeling" about McCain and his choice for VP.

Yes. George Bush may have made some mistakes, and I'm sure you and I would not agree on what those were, but America made the right choice over both Gore and Kerry as they have said and done things in the last 8 and 4 years respectively which demonstrate that they were poor candidates for president, and would have made even worse presidents that Bush has been.

Likewise, Obama has also proven to be an empty suit, made poor decisions, outrageously awful gaffes, and is genuinely too inexperienced, and not just inexperienced, but the kind of experience that comes with underachieving and non-accomplishment. McCain is an obviously better choice. For that matter, so is Palin even if she was at the top of the ticket.
