Default Obama slams McCain on the Economy

He hit the mark correctly here, McCain is just offering the same failed economic philosophy which created this mess.

It's actually good that Obama is reviving Democratic economic populism, because it will assuredly win him the election.

By raising taxes to the wealthy, as Abama proposes, will eventually raise the cost of living for everyone -- another contribution to inflation. How? Since the "wealthy" in his definition make up the top corporate executives, large businesses , and wealthy investors, taxing them more and paying more and giving more to the "middle class" will only be of temporary benefit. Since these "wealthy", higher-taxed individuals control most of nation's products and services -- and thus jobs, they will immediately seek the following options to restore their lost net income (due the greater taxes they must pay):
a) increase the price of goods and services their businesses provide
b) reduce the cost of goods or services they provide by laying off current workers and seeking lower-paid workers by outsourcing to foreign countries.

In either case, inflation is at work where the extra taxes received will be offset by higher prices and/or less work domestically. Nobody wins and Abama's plan fails.

The best plan: reduce government spending abroad. Reduce handouts to countries that do not support our values. Regain the old work ethic in this country of quality and efficiency in producing our products and services, which will increase our exports and thus international income. Take all of the new income and savings and use it to improve the standard of living for all americans -- including the "middle class".
