Uncorrupted communism is called anarchy. Woo-hoo!

Seriously, the goal is a classless, governmentless society. We sure ain't there yet! Question is, if that's where we're headed, then how do we get there?

Governments = power. Power is a corrupting force. Ergo, no governmental system is incorrupt.

Communism, capitalism, and everything in between are corrupt by nature. The question is which form of corruption strikes the best balance between personal potential and protection of the less fortunate?

You forgot to add "I would also like a pony while we're at it" to the poll options.

Default Darwin vs. Marx! Place your bets!

The question here is purely idealistic. If there was uncorrupted communism, how would it be. I don't really think any opinions about how it can never happen are that productive to this thread.

I sometimes sit and wonder if ancient people ever sat around and said to themselves, "Society where we don't sacrifice each other to the Gods... Impossible!"

When you take the factor of corruption out of communism, what are you left? Indeed probably a perfect society where everybody has exactly what they need and there is no crime. However this is a catch 22 because if this state was ever achieved it would not be because their is or isn't corruption in the government but because people have elevated themselves to a level that is above corruption. We're talking about evolution here!

In kibbutzim (Jewish communes) in Israel, they practice as true a form of communism as I can think of. There is a true sense of togetherness and community, and they all work toward a commonly held social goal. There is a revolving door policy, which means that everything done is 100% consented. I have visited a couple communes over the course of a week (I didn't get the chance to work on any of them for more than a half an hour), and they all seemed to have a wonderful and encapsulating sense of harmony. As far as I know, small groups of people (including families) sharing a sense of true community and commonality are best run with some form of communism. But it must be stressed that the participants must share a real sense of community and siblinghood, and no attempts should be made to manufacture a false sense where there is no true sense.

As a side note this is a silly poll as "communist" isn't a government. It's an economic model. The "default" communist government is roughly some variant on a totalitarian dictatorship, which is never a great government.

However you could also have a purely democratic communist country in theory.
