First it was 9/11 and the passage of the Patriot Act. Next it was the 'stimulus' check to boost the economy. Now its a $700 billion bailout for all his buddies.
What do all these THREATS have in common? They are all based upon making America afraid. He lies through his teeth and threatens us that if we don't do what he says, that he will bring down the entire economy. What kind of president threatens his own people? Once again, he is trying to play on America's fear that if we don't allow him to pass this outrageous bill then him and all his rich buddies will bring us to our knees. This is what happens when the majority of money is concentrated in a few hands. They have WAY too much power over everything and I hope that America can wake up and realize that our own president, the one we elected to serve us, is now THREATENING us with dire consequences if we do not bow down to his wishes. |

Look, I'll be the first to say Bush is totally incompetent and a complete disaster. I'll also be the first to say he has no credibility regarding anything. He's clearly earned that. Just finish out your term and disappear. But the fact remains this just isn't his plan. As usual he is in over his head. He has no plan, could never think of a plan, and would screw any plan he tried to implement anyway. So saying he's fooling people is not accurate. He has nothing to do with this. Thank God.

In one sense you are correct. Bush is and always has been a handpicked useful idiot. He is doing what he is told. However, Bush's financial future and those of the others in the top 5% of American wealth will come out of this relatively unscathed. Bush will not take a financial beating. He will be taken care of. YOU and I will not.
