Yesterday, the electoral college poll showed Obama winning 282-256 over John McCain. The numbers have changed today.
Today the poll shows Obama continuing to widden his lead. If the election were held today, Obama would win 286-252. Pennyslvania, for the first time, is now in Obama's camp, with a lead of 49% to McCain's 44%. Obama has even gained in North Carolina, now trailing only two percentage points, 44-46%. North Carolina has voted Republican in the each of the last four presidential races. There are still four key states to watch. Missouri, Indiana, Ohio and Floriday. In each of those states McCain is barely hanging on, with the largest margin only three percentage points. http://www.electoral-vote.com/ |

Don't forget either that Obama is now leading McCain in the polls in Virginia! This in a state that hasn't voted for a Democrat President since LBJ!!!!
"Election 2008: Virginia Presidential Election Obama Takes Five-Point Lead in Virginia Friday, September 26, 2008 Matching a trend seen in national polling, Barack Obama has pulled ahead of John McCain in Virginia over the past week as the Wall Street financial crunch has put economic concerns front and center. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey finds Obama with 50% of the vote while McCain earns 45%. Last Sunday, McCain was up two points. The week before, the candidates were tied." http://www.rasmussenreports.com/publ...ntial_election
