Make it partisan. Blame US for making it partisan, but be JUST as partisan. Be TWICE as partisan. While you're pointing fingers and calling names, the grownups will go back to the drawing board and find a way out of this mess you created.

Go ahead and babble. There's work to do.

Well we can start with Pelosi calling Republicans "unpatriotic".

http://hotair.com/archives/2008/09/2...p-unpatriotic/

Lets face the facts here. Democrats know they have egg on their faces with this entire issue, which is why Pelosi wouldnt bring this to the floor until Republicans gave a majority to it. They didnt want to be looked at as siding with Bush, while Republicans sat out.

Now, her own party has bailed on her. Worst Speaker of the House ever.

McCain's campaign is already blaming Obama. Man, he has balls...

Your right. There is alot of work for you to do, like go back and get the actual facts where Democrats just 4 years ago said there was no crisis, while Republicans tried to tighten the regs on Fannie & Freddie.

Would you like me to get the video to aid you in this endeavor?

EDIT: Here ya go.

Democrats in 2004: Nothing Wrong with Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.

I'm no Pelosi fan. If she were a decent leader, she wouldn't have rolled over for Bush on Telecom immunity or have taken impeachment off the table.

But the video you posted is from last night.

WHAT DID SHE SAY TODAY?

You've had the actual facts, but you ignore them.

So, as the market tumbles and banks close, you kids want to talk about stuff you made up about four years ago.

Watch how far that gets you.

I heard some of it...it didn't sound any more partisan than anything else that's come out of either side over the last week. *BUT* if ever there was a time to shut your gin hole and count the votes, this was it. I've never really been a Pelosi fan, and this is why. She is possibly the most ineffectual Speaker of the House in history. The Dems need to kick her to the curb and get a Speaker that actually knows what they are doing and can lead effectively.

None of the people involved in this mess are real leaders. Real leaders would have offered some way of helping homeowners and the banks at the same time. Nobody gets everything they want, everyone gets something that they want. That is the nature of compromise. Fair usually means that all sides are screwed equally. That wasn't the case here. The taxpayers were being asked to pay the bar tab Wall St. ran up on the deregulation credit card supplied by both sides, without significant concessions to Main St. That's bull(*)(*)(*)(*). The people that are going to take the biggest hit are the ones that got ignored in the process of coming up with this legislation.

As taxpayers, we own a share in this mess as well. We are the ones that kept sending deregulatory pinheads of both parties back to Washington. We have to pay for that mistake. But we don't own all of the blame, and the Wall St. firms and the mortgage banks own the lion's share.

The problem is that the Democrat leadership wanted the taxpayers to eat too big a portion of the (*)(*)(*)(*) sandwich that awaits us all.

So the Republicans refused to show up and Pelosi called them on it. Then the Reps show up the next day to vote, and vote nay, because their feelings were hurt. How cowardly can the Republicans be?
