And the Democrats also need to start figuring out what DIRECTION their party is going. 2 things they need to do right away: 1- FIRE TERRY MCAULIFFE. 2 - Start to swing back towards the middle and more moderate voters.
A bunch of Democrats have been on all the saying the same thing. They were to moderate. They were saying they thought they needed swing further left but they thought that is would be another moderate candidate standing next election anyway.

Default The democrats making those comments are from the far left.

They make up the minority of the Democratic party and can't win without moderates.

Default Munko

I definitely will NOT be gloating to you. There are 4 or so on this board who were obnoxious, but you were not one of them. Neither was raytri or liberalgal, or PJ, or many others who wanted Kerry. To those of you who simply rooted for your guy I just say that I hope Bush does a better job this term and that when said and done you are pleasantly surprised.

Munko, how come you couldn't vote? I guess I thought you already had your citizenship. Well if that's what you're aiming towards I say good luck to you! We can always use more hard working immigrants who want to make this country better!

Default Move forward indeed.....................

I stopped posting in this forum back around the first of September. Got a little self absorbed in boarding, and un boarding windows, and watching weather reports 24-7. And reading all the hate filled bickering from libs that made no sense at all got a little depressing. I did support President Bush, and of course, I am very happy with the results. I did not come here to gloat to my fellow citizens(or legal immigrant residing here, who obviously have a stake in this society). I hope we can all go forward and accomplish the things that need to be accomplished. One of those things is showing the libs the obvious error of their ways. I will HOWEVER gloat in one area. To those that are not citizens, and sought to profer their views, and extol the virtues of socialism to us. To the French, to the Germans, the Canadians, and to the UN in general, a hearty "IN YOUR FACE" to you all. The American citizen went to the polls in numbers greater than ever before, to let all of you ingrates know your "advice" is not needed here. Of course I speak only for myself here, so feel free to bash away upon me as you all see fit. Aw, what the hell, can I honestly say I didnt enjoy watching the Dems squirm and well up with tears when the inevitible became clear? Can I say I'm not looking forward to seeing Michael Moore's next interview? Katie Couric and Chris Matthews consoling each other this morning? Seeing the greatest obstructionist of our time, Daschle eat some crow? Seeing Sheryl Crow eat some crow? Maybe we should gloat a little, just til say tomorrow morning, then get back to the business of living and enjoying a CONSERVATIVE society.

The moderates can't win without the left. That's why Oregon went down to the wire.

Default Floridians of the world, unite!

I'm guessing you're also in Florida, Yacht.

I agree. I am REALLY tired of hearing from non-Americans how fugged up they think we are...

Guess what? In my polite estimation, they're worse off...and need to clean their own houses before focusing on ours.

I think it's absolute disgrace that lines lasted for 2 hours in a first world country. I think it's a absolute disgrace you can buy election. I think it's a absolute disgrace that bail exists. I think it's a absolute disgrace that a democracy in one of the most advanced country's in the world can still have it's democracy rigged and yet feels the need to enforce it's system on the world. I could go on but no-ones listening.

Default Did you say something?

I'm sorry, I was busy doing a happy dance (very quietly and very tastefully) around my computer.

What is a moderate? A person IN THE MIDDLE. Neither R's or D's can win without the center of the bell curve. Ask Badnar, er, Badnirik, er, Nader. Any winner must win the middle. Always.
