One might ask if the Democrats really want to place so much emphasis on "ignorance" of the base as a defining difference between the parties. By all means let's break out the number-two pencils and pit the homeschoolers, tractor drivers, and Sunday-school teachers against the voters who wouldn't have shown up at the polls lest they miss a chance to meet P-Diddy.

I didn't intend to get off on the tangent of religion. I'm not particularly religious myself, after all. Nevertheless, I think the great irony of this election is that for all the talk of how the bigoted Right won, the Left's loss has sparked far more bigotry. Their clever trick is to defend their hatred of the religious by calling it a hatred of bigotry itself — a rationalization no liberal would tolerate from any other kind of bigot.
Pretty good stuff! ...

Default Attention Democrats

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT change your tactics. I want to see a Republican controlled government for the rest of my lifetime (and things are looking up for that).

I think that by 2040-ish, Libertarians will have all but replaced Republicans.

Default Iraq

The big question most Kerry supporters have is Iraq? Kerry was going to bring other countries together and form a true coalition. Bush does not care. He has shown that. He does not have the personality that allows him to work with others.

Becareful what you wish for, Republicans. If Iraq is still a mess in three years and there is no answer for a fixable solution your party is in serious trouble.

Have Fun.

Default So, is the converse true, Dems?

Are you wishing suffering on the Iraqi people and our troops for your own political gain? Are you going to continue celebrating bad news from Iraq in hopes that it will benefit your party?

Sad. And kind of repulsive. It really makes me feel dirty knowing that there are people out there cheering when islamofascist terrorists cut the heads off of people.

Must. wash. hands. now.

Default Ahhh, another Ann Coulter

Not once did I mention my hopes for suffering in Iraq. My question is what is going to happen in the next few years. There is no exit plan. Are we occupiers? The people in Iraq have told us to leave but we are still there. How many of those people who we are "saving for freedom" are planting roadside bombs at night?

The fighting will never end until we leave. Do yourself a favor and stop watching Fox news.

Default You know what I would hate for Dems to say?

"We lost fair and square. It's time to change our tactics!"

I haven't heard one Democrat say that yet, and that is a good thing!

Default One More Time

I'm going to ask this question one more time....

What do we do with Iraq?

I have yet to hear one Bush supporter give an intelligent and realistic answer.

They will be electing their own government in a few months...just like Afghanistan (Cant help notice that criticism of Afghanistan has all but evaporated since their own successful elections occurred without incident). If they elect their own representatives, and we do not override the decisions of those representatives, then we are not occupiers. Correct?

The people of Iraq have not "told" us anything...no one appointed you to speak for them.

Was Timothy McVeigh speaking for the American People when he blew up the OK City building? Was he speaking for you?

A relative handful of malcontents does not = The People of Iraq. You liberals really need to grasp that concept.

Quote:

It is irresponsible and dangerous (both to them and us) to leave until the new government is firmly established.

I think liberals know this, which is why they want us to leave. They know the longer we are there, the better the chances the new government will take hold. And of course the credit would go to Bush and the Republicans. Cant have that now can we?

I used to watch CBS, but then they started inventing their own stories.
