Paleoconservatives often argue in favor of Real Bills Doctrine and Gold Standard policies with the understanding that Keynesian strategies don't work out like they're supposed to and are only useful for politicians trying to exploit public outcry for support.

Choosing a currency is a peaceful, honest, voluntary activity that government has no legitimate authority to prohibit. That is a perfectly logical argument.
