Default Interesting...

Corporate donations (so far):

Pfizer: $35 million
Citigroup: $3 million
Abbott Laboratories: $4 million
Cisco: $2.5 million
Pepsi Cola: $1 million (plus bottled water, badly needed)
Johnson & Johnson: $2 million
AOL: $200,000

(and that list is far from exhaustive)

Governmental contributions:

U.S.: $35 million
Spain: $68 million
France: 20.5 million
Britain: $28.9 million
Germany: $27 million
Australia: $27.6 million
Denmark: $15.5 million

You'll note that PFIZER'S contribution, ALONE, dwarfs that of France, Britain, Germany, Australia, or Denmark, and that is only ONE American corporation.

I am surprised about Spains HUGE contribution. Did not know they were so caring, but then again, they have this new socialist government.

The contribution from Spain is a line of credit.

edit: Don't mean that to sound like I am minimizing what Spain is offering. I think most countries are doing what they can.

The Tsunamis were the first sign of the Apocalypse. And here is the 2nd:

Boy, I really hate to say it, but I do have to applaud the US government for their generosity to South East Asia that was hit by disaster. Our EU didn't contribute much, which really pissed me off.

Cheers to the US. They have their flaws, but they also have their good side.

Shame on the EU!

Default A line of credit?

Not cool.

Give less, but don't make these poor people pay it back.

Default So let me get this right.

A country that claims to be socialist is giving aid BUT WANTS IT PAID BACK!!!! Friggin' hilarious. I thought Spain's money belonged to the world. Funny how Joe Spainiard's money belongs to the state, but the state's money also belongs to the state. Quite a tidy arrangement, no? And who is giving the most money with no strings attached? The evil capitalist monster. (*)(*)(*)(*) this stuff cracks me up.
