theyre spending like drunk sailors (with a credit card) on defense even though we need assassins to defeat Al Qaeda or any other terror group. Theyre imperialist schmucks with a bad case of hubris. I dont say hegemonic because we have always sought to influence the world and get them to be like us, only we used to lead by example which we nvr should have gotten away from. I dont say fascist because it is more evident that they think we have a right to spread our political, economic and social ideals by force. The fascist traits are less noticeable. These come into sight when they wouldnt go after Enron Worldcom etc. and give Halliburton a nice ride. This is a 180 degree switch of what they were until 3 years ago. I liked them then and we would be in alot better shape if they hadnt veered off into oblivion. Who's the jack @$$ that said "I know a short cut" I think many of us including ppl that bought the bu$hit at first would like to ring their neck(s)

In my personal opinion, we could have saved alot of money and lives IF WE JUST CLOSE THE BORDERS. We should have kept them closed after 9/11 SCREW DEFENSE SPENDING JUST CLOSE THE (*)(*)(*)(*) BORDER. GOD AMERICA PISSES ME OFF SOMETIMES RAAHHH. Come in and stay in or get out and stay out. ISOLATE, ISOLATE NOW, GOD.

It's true that republicans have adopted a greater spending mentality. But if you look at it, much of the spending has been in the name of the war on terror and no republican was going to block funds to this cause so soon after 9/11.

Bush isn't what I would consider a true conservative either but he also doesn't have something that Bill Clinton benefited from for the majority of his presidency. It's called "Line Item Veto". That would help tremendously to cut PORK spending.

There are steps being taken to slow the growth of government in the next four years. Just wait for the complaining to start because of lack of funds to what individuals believe we should be spending money on.
