This seems now a little meningless, since Saddam allowed weapon inspectors to enter the land, there were no WMD and the weapon inspectors kept it unlikely to find these weapons.

Or perhaps Iraqians were just frustrated that after several years of weapons inspection the sactions still remained, even when the weapons had been destroyed. Saddam was also a very proud man. The inspections didn't seem to bring any concrete benefit for Saddam and he couldn't see why to keep up the humiliating process.

Again exactly, how Saddam was friendly towards terrorists? I thought secular Baathists were natural enemies against radical Islam.

Even the entire logic of Saddam supporting terrorists made no sense. The administrator doesnt seem to understand that there are different types of bad guys. Those who want to destroy, and those who simply want to retain their power (others exists too).

OK, I didn't think you could back up your claim.

There were plenty of long debates little less than a year ago when this site was made public, and plenty of posters claimed WMDs to be the reason. Many of those posters (some active some inactive) have since changed their minds about what was the reason.
Just dig around enough in the old threads, they're there.

..and that ain't likely to happen...... This is the same guy that thinks that Chimp and his crew didn't lie about WMD's......

I assumed your comment was directed at those of us that had posted in this thread. None of us had signed onto this site before June of 2004.

I figured the WMD were unlikely to show up when they weren't used on our troops during the invasion. IMO most people saw the writing on the wall after David Kay's report to congress in late 2003.

And for the people who posited that since the soldiers voluntarily signed up for the military, they and their families have no right to complain, I submit the following: when civilians join the military, they DO assume the risk that they will be called to put their lives in danger, BUT the country makes an implied promise that it will not put their lives in danger UNLESS it is absolutely necessary for our nation's defense. Bush violated that implied promise -- as have other presidents before him. Just because a person joins the military does not mean that we should be able to put them in harm's way whenever we choose and for whatever reason we choose.

We should respect and honor our soldiers if for no other reason than that they have shown themselves to be far more worthy of that respect and honor than the government we chose for this country.
