Default Your post couldn't possibly be more nebulous

"Call yourself a Bushie?" And what exactly does that mean? We had two Presidential candidates, and Bush was clearly the more conservative of the two. So if by "calling yourself a Bushie" you mean voted for him then you couldn't be more wrong. But I have no idea if that's what you meant.

Peace through strength but no action is conservative history? What happened to Iraq I? Grenada? Libya?

Default ya use force when it is warranted

Invading Iraq has clearly taken away from Afghanistan and taken people's eyes off the real problem, Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda is not a country and you cant do a (*)(*)(*)(*) thing to them with the military. We drove the soviets into the ground with the 600 ship navy. Yes we should have gone all the way in 91 and then finished it the second time he tried to get cute with us. Iraq was a country and no country will attack us. If you are worried about countries attacking us or giving anything to Al Qaeda, youre prolly the same ppl running around telling everyone "were the only remaining super power" And apparently you dont like Reagan conservatives because that is the kind of person I am. Ya...I'm a gr8 communicator...communicate with my middle finger ya friggin neo-cons

Default I am a Reagan conservative

However you didn't post anything that backed your position that conservatives have historically used words and not action. I think what you mean to say is you are against the war in Iraq (which is fine), but are unable to understand an opposing viewpoint. So the best you can do is create a strawman argument and name call.

Default the way you do beat Al Qaeda is:

You need two groups. Spies, and assassins. Spies to find the sleeper cells in every city of the world and the assassins to kill them. Quiet, hush hush, black bag operation. We once had that but got rid of it 20 years ago with the dreaded Torricelli amendment and the Church commission absolutely evicerated the CIA so we've got to recreate it.

Al Qaeda is not a country, or a military, and they arent in any given place. They operate in 3-5 man groups we call sleeper cells. They live in an apartment in some city and wait for orders. You hear about one getting busted every 6 months or so some where in the world. We need to kill them off and keep them down because you cant put a definitive end to it. You then maintain that spy and assassin outfit so every stateless group will fear the CIA just like every country fears the U.S. Military.

Who determines if it is warranted if not our elected representaitves?

If you cannot do a (*)(*)(*)(*) thing to them with the military, then why does it make a difference if our military is in Iraq? You are contradicting yourself.

If the military is ineffectual against Al Quaeda, then it seems to me it would make sense to use them where they ARE effectual.

We could not have done it without ignoring the UN...are you suggesting we should ignore the UN from now on?

Ok that applies if you are talking about Al Qaeda...not Iraq. The war on terror is not just against one terrorist group. This is what liberals do not understand. Terrorism does not = Al Qaeda.

Default straw man argument?

I am a reagan conservative and we ought to conduct ourselves as we did in that time. Libya was legit because Kadafi directly funded an attack on soldiers in a West German night club. Grenada was legit because they were holding americans hostage. They played hard ball so did we in order to get the americans out. Panama was legit because Noriega was laundering drug money for the king pins pushing drugs in this country and we cant have that. I believe in "Walk softly, talk softly and carry a big stick." as TR put it. I see right through these neo-cons that see it fit for us to force our political, economic and social ideals on the world just because we can. Were on a fast track to becoming the Evil Empire which we faced down for 40 years. The neo-cons play on the emotions of the american ppl and even then the best they got was 70% for their war in Iraq. They decide on something and repeat it endlessly. They never adjust, they never admit mistakes. THEY do what THEY want regardless of need or reason. They are dyed in the wool and the only thing you can do is face THEM down.

If us Neo-cons can really control the masses that thoroughly, you might as well give up now. You've lost.

Default rofl

The military cant be used against Al Qaeda. The only scenario where conventional military force was needed we failed to use it. That was in Torah Borah around Christmas 2001. What is your fetish with the UN? When theyre to our advantage use them, else wise tell them to shove it. I checked and it turns out I spelled everything correctly. gr8 is just a abbreviation used on the net. If I were writing a formal letter or a paper I'd write you and you're instead of u, ur, u r, and ya.

Now for powergrid...What are you talking about? Al Qaeda is the only group that attacked us. Not hamas, hezbollah, the IRA, cechyen rebels or anyone else. You will get us in far over our heads and make many more enemies for us needlessly by trying to go after everyone that looks at us cross eyed. You missed "We need to beat Al Qaeda down and keep them down. Then maintain that spy and assassin force so every stateless group will fear the CIA like every country fears the U.S. Military" This sounds awfully good to everyone I've told including bushies and its gotta be better than what were doing now. Cuz what were doing is failing.

also. This spy and assassin outfit will "not exist" in that they are covert, non military, out of uniform and what they do is not publicized. We need the uniformed military which defends this country from other uniformed forces invading us or threatening our interests and the spies and assassins to handle Al Qaeda and the like.
