Default Death toll rises to 1500

The Death toll in iraq has risen to 1500. Do you think that 1500 soldiers is worth changing one government? And if you tell me that the reason for the war is WMD then tell me where they are at.

Hope they're not this forgotten when the ones that make it through finally return home.

Default I don't think..

..they are forgotten. I think its just "uncomfortable" for people to deal with 1500 dead without any WMDs. It seesm easier to justify if there were 1500 dead and tons of WMDs found.

You realize that the number 1500 barely made a "blip" in the national media? Its old news now. These days, casualties are buried in the middle of newpapers or are simply mentioned in the ticker at the bottom of your TV. Why dwell on it?

They are not forgotten, folks..They will always be remembered for their sacrifices, justified or not!! :

Default it depends

Only the future will tell if it was worth it. The answer is a potentially resounding yes as much as it is a potentially resounding no. However, based on recent events I think the answer will be yes. In context, this is half the amount of 9/11, but doesn't get near the publicity. I guess it's just not as "personal." But no, their sacrifices won't be forgotten.

it was not "worth it"..because the reasons laid out for WAR were unfounded. (And please..lets not discuss that again..I am tired of that) But I don't think they needed to sacrifice their lives for this particular endeavour, especially given the way the aftermath has been managed up to date.

But they will not be forgotten. They certainly will NEVER be forgotten by their families. The one thing that I believe binds us all together is the deep appreciation we have for them. I don't need to put a yellow ribbon on my car to show that I support the troops.

These are the men and women who have volunteered to keep us safe and for that we will forever be grateful.
