Default North Korea.

I think that we should have spent more time planning a war in which we actually knew that a country had weapons of mass destruction instead of just invading a country that we thought had WMD. If they had the WMD then where are they at? North Korea publicly admitted that they had WMD but we basically ignored the fact. If we are going to take action against Iraq for being a threat then we should take action against these other third world countries that have technology to build a WMD.

North Korea was cooperating at the time. Saddam was not. Saddam had also invaded a neighbor more recently than NK did, so it was reasonable to assume he was more aggressive.

The WMDs were beside the piont. We invaded because he would not let us look for ourselves to verify that he did not have them and was not trying to get them. We were not willing to take his word for it.

By the time that happened we were already committed in Iraq. Our forces were insufficient to invade both nation's simultaneously without a draft.

And NK alrady had nukes, which made them more dangerous. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

No argument here. Non-democracies have no right to exist.

Default Further, we had other means to force the NK's compliance...

namely, working with China, Japan, and South Korea. China controls more than 80% of NOrht Korea's food and 50% of their energy. The best possible method to bring NK up short is to get China on our team. Without China by our side, there is no way to manage North Korea. But the last thing a burgeoning economic power (China) wants in that region is an unstable nuclear regime on their doorstep.

You're point being?

You're just getting this now? Almost every post I make has been very clear that I dont consider despotic governments to be equal to democracies. That they dont have a right to exist.

I have no problem bullying the bullies. Why does it have to be a fair fight?

Default So I'm a bully...

Guess I'll go have a little cry because the tyrants of the world don't think I'm nice.

Is anyone aware that the Korean War is still going on? We have not received a surrender or given a surrender. It is only a cease-fire that has lasted fifty years. This man is more dangerous than ever. This whole talking of disarming thing is about ten pounds of s*** in a five pound bag.

If we attack North Korea I guarantee you that comrades China and Vietnam will retaliate on Korea's behalf. We'd also suffer harsh critisicm from Cuba and other countries. We've already spit in the U.N.'s face; I dont think we need to add on with an atomic wedgie.
