Nah.. I think he actually a pretty sharp fellow... the reason i do not think he is the anti-christ is twofold...
One, I don't believe in Ragnarok or any of the other Armageddon myths... Two, according to the christian myths the anti-christ is supposed to be liked and admired by everyone... That don't sound like Ole Georgie to me...

"...the Book of Revelations--the anti-Christ"
Here is a clue--when someone writing on a subject doesn't even know the proper spelling of the source of his writing, there's a pretty good chance the entire document is just as carelessly written.

Quote:
ROME, June 4 -- Pope John Paul II urged President Bush on Friday to move quickly to end the "grave unrest" in Iraq and called for a repair of transatlantic relations frayed by the U.S.-led war and occupation. In a meeting at the Vatican at the start of a three-day presidential trip to Italy and France, the pontiff, 84, praised Bush for his leadership against abortion in the United States and AIDS in Africa. But the pope, who was too weak to stand and barely audible as he read a statement, also had stern words for Bush, deploring the prisoner-abuse scandal in Iraq and violence in the region. "Mr. President, your visit to Rome takes place at a moment of great concern for the continuing situation of grave unrest in the Middle East, both in Iraq and in the Holy Land," said John Paul, an ardent critic of the war in Iraq. "You are very familiar with the unequivocal position of the Holy See in this regard, expressed in numerous documents, through direct and indirect contacts, and in the many diplomatic efforts which have been made." They DID disagree about the war and the pope DID express his disapproval in his role as Holy See. |

If you're looking for some stern words from the Pope, try looking for transcripts of what he had to say about President Hillbilly and his pro-abortion policies! The Pope wiped the floor with Hillbilly.

Well, he actually did "partially" birth an idea on how to limit some of them... but Clinton also bombed Iraq to divert attention from a blue dress...
So, I guess we can call it equal=)

officially reached out to every government he could to get them to NOT pass the U.N. Resolution to go to Iraq. He got three countries (can't remember who) to agree with him and vote against it. The pope also, obviously, was against the death penalty, which we all know Bush is in favor of. The point is that the pope did "officially" disagree with Bush on several subjects and those disagreements were based on morals.

Who really cares if the pope had disagreements with Bush or Clinton or anybody else? I disagree with the pope on several issues and I'm a Catholic.
The pope does not write American policies. He preaches God's will and morals.
