The biggest problem with legalization is that - in this case - it has to be accompanied by a HUGE amount of regulation to protect the public health. You also have to consider exactly which "services" the professionals must be required to perform.

Gets to be a real mess, in more ways than one.

people are already screwing. i don't see how money can make stds appear. if say std increased amoung prostitutes,,,,thens theres not a big enough amout to be a epidemic. also, protitutes/porn stars im sure take it very seriously, i a recon theyre the most guarded against stds. so if anyones safe,...its them?

It is legal (in the UK), you just can't wonder around on the streets. Aslong as you advertise through a mag or something it's perfectly legal.

And yes, it is legal in parts of the US. Nevada isnt the only place, but it's the best known.
