The US was born from a British colony. We share both culture and root-Laws with the UK. The two closest Nations to the US are the UK and Canada, in both culture, Law and legal structure.

And no. The picture shows Reagan's fun side. He loved that monkey.

Even if you don't like Reagan, please watch the entire video, I believe it shows what a real leader looks like. Just like the great speeches given by MLK, Lincoln and Kennedy.

YouTube - Reagan - A Time For Choosing

This quote really make me think about what the government would do to private insurance companies if UHC took place.

I believe this speech is the epitomy of what a democratic and capitalist society should remember.
After watching this video, I commend Reagan for pointing out the simplicity of peace. He mentioned "Liberals". It's ironic how the left here are making jokes about Reagan. He reminded me of how this nation is now a big moral decay. The left is always blaming Republican's of economic downturn, war, and bashing word's of wisdom. Especially if a speech point's to any faith in God.

Cosmike, I appreciate that you shared this video. I had never heard this speech. I miss Reagan.

Actually...our laws stemmed mostly from Roman law.

The united states and its constitution, are NOTHING like the UK or GB. They are parlimentary systems...totally different.

Our nation was a democracy, before both Canada and the UK were.

No problem. Dems made fun of Reagan back then as they do today...just as some do of some of todays "unnamed" conservatives...little do they know its going to bite them in the ass.

If you feel bad about Reagans tiny deficit, wait'll you get a load of this current guy, who's spent more in the first four months of his presidency then every one of his predecessors since the founding of the country did...COMBINED!

It's hits a tone with me like nails on a blackboard. The man represented everything that is wrong with our economic system. Reaganomics encourages the exploitation of people that are just like you and look just like you. The whole 'ef you got mine' attitude is not what this world should be about. He was a smart man but he is responsible for perpetuating America's historical legacy of imperialism. Is money really that important?

EDIT: messed up the quote.

At, I know you are more intelligent than that.

Yes. That's probably right. Rome was built on slavery too.
