For the second time, I never said ANYTHING about dictatorship. You are clearly getting me confused with someone else.
Your implication was clear IMO.

Me: Or...everyone simply agrees with the republicrats MORE than the commies or the hippies. Is that possible?

Actually, my point is that they don't even know if they do or not!
Actually, we do know, because we can count the votes.

Quote:
And very few could tell you what any of the parties believe, Commie or Republicrat.
Everyone I know can tell me.

Quote:
That's what you are not getting: It doesn't matter who gets the most votes. They will all do essentially the same thing! They all work for the same $$$$ and they will all do whatever those $$$$ say to do. Vote for A, vote for B. Whatever. It's all the same.
If they are doing what the masses want them to do, why does it matter?

And if you really believe that they will all do the same thing, why do you care if it is a one party system? All the other parties will do the same thing...right?

Quote:
The person getting the most votes is nothing more then the puppet chosen by the moronic masses.
Ah...now we get to the root of it. You dont believe the masses are intelligent enough to pick their own leaders eh? So much for Democracy.

If the alternative is letting people like you pick for us...I am willing to take the risk with the system we have now.

Unfortunately, the average American doesn’t get this. What’s worse is that the government and big business have become audacious about screwing Americans and people just don’t care. It's like sheep being led to slaughter.

We cannot blame the parties we need to blame our education system. I was taught in school that we all have a voice. We can call, write, or email our representatives. How many of us do? We can vote. How many of us do? If we have a one party system with two branches then it is the citizens of the US who are to blame for not exercising their right to vote or call or write or email.

Default I agree.

But over time the one party system has so entrenched itself that it's now harder than ever to change it. But you are right: It's our fault. Most things are in the end.

You’re absolutely right about the root cause of the problem being apathetic citizens. I disagree, however, that we cannot blame the parties and subsequently politicians. Senators and Representatives are in a position of power that could easily be used to make life better for Americans, yet they do nothing unless it benefits themselves or the big businesses and organizations that keep them in power. You know, there’s a fairly obvious reason why big businesses contribute to both parties each election cycle.

Default How many of these polls do we need?

All the Republicans here will say "no", and all the Democrats will say "yes"... why do we need a poll to tell us this? Can we please start thinking outside of the box? Maybe we can start to bridge the divides of Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives instead of discussing what we already know!!

You don't have to contribute if you don't want to...after all, there are other subjects, so go!

And I found the results to be what I thought they would be. So what exactly did everyone gain from after seeing this poll. That Democrats and Republicans differ.... what a revelation!
