political placement test
After leaving the Republican Party due to Slick’s acquittal with 10 GOP votes I began looking for an alternative political party to join. I also took every political placement test I could find on the internet. But, I always found these tests inadequate because they seldom took into consideration the reasons why someone believes what they do. For example, I do not support private school vouchers. But, this is because I have worked in several private schools and found them to be nothing but baby-sitting services for kids that can’t or won’t do the work required in public school. But, this does not mean that I believe public schools are doing a good (or even a fair) job. The political tests I found made no distinction in these situations- a position against vouchers would count as support of public schools.
Over a year ago I began designing a political placement test that would be extensive enough to allow people on opposite sides of the political spectrum to hold the same view, but for different reasons. Unfortunately I know nothing about designing a computer program that can calculate the results of someone’s answers. Does anyone here have any experience in designing such programs?
