Modern reactors don't make as much waste (or so I hear. I am NOT an engineer of any stripe).

yeah uh..nuclear storage in nevada is a YOU problem eh? that's why they are gonna be trucking radioactive material clear across the freaking country as most nuclear reactors are clear over on the east coast.

why not promote a. solar power (it evolves as fast as a computer with capital) energy efficient storage and transmitters (lots of power is wasted along the lines), better electrical appliances, (we all still use incandescent lightbulbs), wind power, etc??? most enviornmental scientists disagree with nuclear power NOW as we have better options on the near horizon that are ignored technological development as the gov cares more about missile defense and such. you know why? because GE owns the freaking government and its more profitable to use same old worn out technology.

i mean...come on...seriously.
