Chemical testing on humans, unbelievable! I knew Chemical testing on Humans was done throughout history, but I thought there were laws in place to prevent this from happening today.

Provided two things happen:

1. They are of sound mind.
2. They are told, in realistic terms, what will or could occur.

If you volunteer to have your arm chopped off, that's your problem. Who cares? If, however, you told they are testing bug spray and they chop your arm off when you put it in the bug tent I have an issue.

These people volunteered to eat pesticide. I have no problem with that.

That's very funny. Having read some of your past posts, I think your very consistent in your opinions, all give you that. I wonder how much information is given to the person getting the test...Do they really know that the capsule they are taking has pesticides in it? I heard that a lot of these volunteers are college student desperate for a few extra bucks.

I know from my undergrad Psych years that all pertinent disclosures are required for any study. That does not mean they did so, of course, but it does open them to suits if they did not.

Obviously, I am 100% against doing anything harmful to anyone without full disclosure of what you are doing and the possible consequences. But if some poor college student (and I've been there) wants to eat pesticide for breakfast for $100 who am I to stop him?

noodles, Chef-Boy-R-Dee and dorm food are substantially worse than a couple shots of pesticide! And you have no idea what the goldfish you ate were eating before they became food themselves.

unidentifiable substances and fruit of unknown origins, cleanliness, and freshness....

later, on top of this healthy concoction, taco bell (laden with all sorts of vile chemicals) at 3 a.m.

Then, 10 a.m. the next day, biscuits and gravy at Wendy's....

Who knows what sorts of foul substances I ingested during college...

And for the record, why do we care again? I thought liberals were all for people being able to voluntarily ingest all sorts of chemical substances....
