i don't understand why is Al-Queda targeting civilians and not military? i mean it's the military that fights them, right? not regular people. for example, i could have been a regular person walking on the street there. and i am on their side, i am against american military, i will not lie, i am happy every time i hear USA/coalition soldiers get killed in Iraq. and yet i could have been among those killed in these blasts.

is it
1. because the military/government hides among population?
2. or is it because military/government are just much better protected and terrorists are trying to make people demonstrate agains war more?
3. is it because terrorists don't care about their image, they are so stupid? if so, then how come they were so sophisticated to orchestrate 9:11?
4. is it me, or is there something here that really doesnt add up?
5. why would al-queda want to ruin their image at a time when much of the world is losing faith in a war on terror already? why not do this "revenge for Iraq/afghanistan" attacks in London right after US led invasion instead?

they think if the public is scared enough it will pressure the politicians to do what Al Qaeda wants. Simple as that. They can't beat the military, plus attacking the military won't (in their eyes) accomplish anything. What they have wrong is that the populace of an attacked country will only make sure its government works against Al Qaeda and its aims.

There is a reason they are called TERRORists. The civilians control the military. If they can be intimidated enough, the military can be removed more easily.
