2 words: Manditory Draft.

Where have you been? The "war" has been over for a long time. Saddam's government is deposed.

The insurgents are criminals, not freedom fighters. In the same way Timothy McVeigh was a criminal.

To draft is to take people's lives. It's most certainly wrong.

The best way to win the war won't work in today's society, so you have to take the second best and stay steadfast.

The "Freedom Fighters", or insane Islamic terrorists in truth (don't deny it, all except Timothy McVeigh were), aren't fighting for freedom. Their fighting to depose it.

I'm looking to end our involvment, in effect "end the war", as far as we are concerned. A draft will do just that, since no one "supporting our troops"
wants to go.

Most of all, I'd like to get a pic of some Young Repugs burning their Draft cards.

All things considered, I don't believe we can win a war when our government has no incentive to leave. Seems to me that anything to give GWB a reason to sell for the troops staying there is one of his objectives.

If the war is over than why are we still there? We got Saddam so we need to get out. Also, the "insurgnts", as you call them are not criminals. It says in the Holy Qur'an that Holy War should be waged against infidels who invade the nation and would look to destroy Islam; these are orders from Allah and should be carried out.

They dont want us to leave yet, and it is in our best interest to ensure that another despot does not bring us back to square one.

They oppose the will of the masses. That makes them criminals. The masses deserve to be in control, not the church.

I am an atheist. I dont give two craps about what the Holy Qur'an says. The power belongs to the masses, not to the theocrats. If you were a real communist, you'd embrace that.

I would be curious as to what you would say would be the difference between the thoughts of a Scientific Pantheist, and the beliefs of an Atheist
on the spectrum of subjects implicit and explicit that either of them would maintain.

I have no idea what you mean by that sentence. I dont believe in any deity, and I am not spiritual.

I think some of these solution are too late for Iraq, but here is what they should do:

1. Force the congress into accept Shiites into the constitution
2. Work with religious leaders, actually listen to what they want or ask
3. Work with civic leaders and school official to see what is the situation with the people
4. Be seen working with religious leaders, actually have press conferences with them
5. Invite leaders, real leader that ppl look up to in Iraq
