Default This if for all the Smokers

I'm an ESL teacher in NYC. Today while I was smoking outside between classes, a French student approached me and said, "You are a good American because you smoke. American smokers always vote democratic."
I thought his comment was quite amusing, and it also aroused my curiosity.
So now I wonder, do American smokers really tend to vote Democratic? If your a smoker, please let me know.

As for me, I don't choose sides until I hear all the issues.

Default It's funny

I worked at my University one summer with a bunch of hippies, socialists, and all sorts of other left wingers... all of whom criticized me for my conservaitve beliefs. They also all were Democrats, and usually found many opportunities to start bashing corporate America, usually while they were lighting up cigarettes produced by some of the world's largest and most powerful corporations.....

Default I find...

...that most smokers I know vote "BIG (D)". Interestingly their (D) representatives then turn around and sue the tobacco companies for billions of dollars and then spend that money, designated for health care and tobacco education, on other more important things like state budget shortfalls.

Details a Yale study:

Default smoke 'em out!

I thought Bush was the great promoter of this policy; perhaps it was of the Dems and not bin Laden he referred.....
