Default George W. Bush } good president?

Do you think he is a good president?
I don't, here's why:::
Since George Bush has been in office, Over 250, 000 jobs have been lost in ohio alone. He supports tax breaks for companies that ship good american jobs over seas. He has also watched the median family income drop by $1, 535. Mission accomplished? On may 1st, 2003 aboard the uss abraham lincoln, Bush declared victory in iraq, Since that day over 1, 000 americans have died. Doesnt seem like to good of a guy to me.

Yes, I think he is a good President. I dont agree with everything he has done, but I agree with most of what he has done.

The impact on the economy is largly a result of September 11 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The wars were necessary IMO however, so I dont fault him for the economy, or for the resulting military spending. I dont see a better alternative.

Default Yes.

Generally speaking. I rarely agree with everything that any political figure does but I like him better than most (reagan, carter).

Default He's easily the worst President in my lifetime.

Not even close. Nixon was liar and a bigot. But on balance not a bad President. A terrible person, sure. But not a bad President. Ford does not count. Carter was a wimp. A great guy. But a wimp. Reagan was an ideologue with an itchy check writing hand. Bush was largely just there. Nothing more. Nothing less. But he was a liar. Clinton had some personal problems, but was largely a good President. But W is incompetent. And pretty much completely so.

Carter was easily worse.

He isnt a good guy because casualties occurred? Huh?

The mission in that context, which was to remove Saddam and his government, was successful. Iraq is no longer ruled by Saddam. Mission accomplished.

That is separate and distinct from the "mission" of installing a democracy in his place, which is not quite accomplished. It wont be accomplished until Iraq can keep the peace with it's own military and police force. That is not going to happen in the near future.

The fact that the installation of this democracy is not going as quickly as you might like does not mean it has failed.

Gimme a break...Carter was obviously worse, no matter how much you may not like Bush.

Default See above. I edited my post.

Carter was true wimp. But the economic problems that plagued the U.S. during his 4 years were largely out of his control. In the same way Clinton benefitted from forces outside his control. Carter was NOT a good President by any measure. But W is worse. Not by a lot. But my clear Number 1. And for the 100th time, I neither like nor dislike ANY President. I've never met any. Actually, I think I would like Bush as a person. But he's cluster fark regardless.

I suppose we could argue W versus Carter, but it's pointless. They both get very low marks.

Default so so

some things good and some things bad. Actually I've become more apathetic about him as time goes on. Since 2003 the only good thing he's done is nominate Roberts, that's about it.
