role of influence?
The role of it's influence should properly be the same as any other nation on Earth; the furtherance of it's own national interests, as defined by it's government of the day, employing strategies designed with competence to meet those aims.
But what is or is not in the national interest? what strategies are likely to achieve an outcome in line with stated aims, and which are not?
