What would be the key things you would change if called all the shots in the USA? What would you do differently? Why and to what end?

you know the US doesn't have king, if i were the king, i would probably restore the US to a representative democracy, so yeah, i wouldn't be king anymore.

Beside that what make me or anyone absolute judgment the best thing for any country

We baby boomers are teaching our children to be codependent losers. The lessons of self-sacrifice and service would serve our youth well and our country well.

I'd probably introduce a paper document spelling out the limitations and powers of government to be strictly followed and then give the government back to the people. We could call it a "Constitution".

That would be awesome.

I suppose I would first have some serious explaining to my husband of 26 years.

I like the ideas here for mandatory public service and strictly limiting the federal government. I would also have a serious look at the tax laws. I'm thinking of some kind of value added tax? I'm not sure, but I would find some way of being fair and reasonable. Once I got through slashing the federal govt, we wouldn't need such high taxes. Then I go on vacation. Might be fun to get the VIP treatment.

If I were king, I wouldn't change anything about the Constitution; it is fine the way it is. What I would do is force all politicians and judges to actually follow what the constitution reads instead of what they wished the constitition read.

For example, there is no general right to privacy in the due process clause of the 14th amendment. If a state wants to ban abortions, that should be its right. If a state wants to ban contraception, that should be its right (at least until the next election where the people would oust the politicians making that decision).

Another example is the legal myth of "incorporation." This is a myth where the Bill of Rights is read, not only to constrain the federal government, but the states. If a state wants to establish an official state religion, that should be its right. The contention that the first amendment should prevent this is legal fiction and most lawyers and non-lawyers alike realize it. The bill of rights found within the federal constitution doesn't affect the states. Anyone who wants to read the bill of rights that does affect the states should pick up and read a copy of the state's own constitution. Every state's constitution includes a bill of rights.

My final example with regard to the Constitution is the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment. I would do something "radical" and actually force the states to extend the equal protection to all people within the state (as the amendment requires). Gays may not be the favorite class of "mainstream America," but that shouldn't prevent them from the benefit of the equal protection of the laws.

If I were king, I'd flee the country with haste. You see what happened to those guys in France? This country has a history of revolution, assassination-promoting televangelists, and a lot of crazy people with guns. Who would be stupid enough to proclaim himself king?

that's my favorite topic!!! or my favorite thing to be (good thing you asked)... here i go:

1. I would work hard a construction job as i do now, to set an example that only hard working people should be able to make any decisions (especially those related to destroying buildings)

2. i would round up all fat cockroaches (they are like cholesterol to bloodstream) and i would not kill not one of them: i would put them all to work in labor camps dirtiest work, like sewer cleaning.

(all the world would respect me, and that's no illusion)

3. after about a year or 2 (do not confuse this with what neocons are attempting!!!) i would announce to the world, that there will be one world, one government, all united, all speaking one common language or no world at all (nuked in trying) (this is where people think i am insane and they are all as wrong as they can be. they fail to understand that this would really work)

but that's what i would do. everyone would become somewhat equal and though it may be unjust, the whole world is unjust and the sacrifice of few is worth stripping all the rich who didnt work of their king like status.

there would be SERIOUS changes if i would be king. there would be no racism. heaven would be officially on EARTH, and therefor all the religions could tell their fairy tales to children and mentaly retarded

then i would resign or kill myself. (if i get bored)
