Hmmm I find it interesting that I got 100 on three different religions and so far am the only one who has got such results.

To be completely honest, I have always been fascinated with Judaism. In fact, I like the way that Christianity hinges on the basic facets of the Jewish faith. I have spent a lot of time reading the Old Testament about the Prophets and about Jewish history. It has had a huge influence on my life.
It might all have something to do with the fact that a lot of people think that I am Jewish because of my name (Joel... and my last name sounds very Jewish) and how I look. I have even considered converting, but I am pretty happy with my current church. As for Mormonism, I could understand why that would match up with my beliefs. I admire the way that their group is organized but I don't like the fact that they have created their own separate fiath based off of a heretical book (book of Mormon). But my favorite politician, Mitt Romney is a mormon, so that might count for something. For the creation question I put that the time was not meant to be literal... a day could equate to thousands or millions of years, etc. Yeah, the desert Eagle is a beautiful piece of machinery, isn't it? You Israeli's sure know how to make some fine ass weaponry, I'll give you that. |

Your faith, is your business, of course, so you have every right not to answer these questions, stekim. I am curious, though. You stated that you are an atheist and also that you are a Buddhist. Isn't Buddhism pantheistic? Would it be accurate to state that you accept a pantheistic God's existence?

Buddha stated that he saw no evidence to suggest that God exists. Further, it does not matter anyway because if God does exist there is no evidence that He interferes in the lives of people or (more importantly) that the Four Noble Truths or the Eightfold Path are in any way invalid. Which is the major thing for Buddhists. So it's possible to be a Buddhist and believe in no God, one God or many Gods. Various forms of Buddhism do have gods, but like with everything in Buddhism it's nothing like in Western thought. The gods do not actually exist, they are merely manifestations of certain noble qualities. I have a scroll of a Buddhist god on the wall of my bedroom. But it's only to remind me of something. The god does not exist in the Western sense.
I am and will likely remain an atheist. I simply see no evidence to support the existence of God.

I tend to make a distinction between an atheist who believes in gods as noble concepts from an atheist that sees no place for gods at all. Your view of gods is similar to mine, except I believe my gods to also be part of a larger unknown supernatural being that our minds cannot fully wrap around. That slight distinction makes me a pantheist.
I wonder why they use "nontheist" in the text. Is that the PC version?
