For such a short test, this is surprisingly accurate:
http://www.pbs.org/arguing/quiz.html Out of the 10 questions that you answered, you can best be described as Liberal/Socialist. Liberal: 45.5% Conservative: 9.1% Socialist: 45.5% My conservative answer, of course, was on moral values. I appreciate all replies. Thank you very much.

It was a good quiz but it was a tad bit too short it gave me 9% conservative when I'm not at all conservative I think. Anyhow it was worth the time
Liberal: 18.2% Conservative: 9.1% Socialist: 72.7%

Does answering no to the "moral" questions count for both liberal and socialist?
If so it's impossible to get 100% lib or soc. Or maybe I'm looking too deep.

I tried answering all of the questions in the "liberal" or the "socialist" way, but I couldn't get a score of 100% liberal or 100% socialist. That was an intelligent observation, JavaBlack.

Liberal: 6 50.0
Conservative: 1 8.3 Socialist: 5 41.7 Liberal As a liberal you believe that the state should take a hand in regulating the free market in order to prevent abuses of the system. You also feel that government should take somewhat of a redistributive role in ensuring that the poor have adequate means to live and to prevent the grossest inequalities in wealth. At the same time you believe that the economy if monitored can be a significant engine of wealth for society. You also strongly believe that government should keep its hands out of regulating moral values, and should enforce a strict separation of church and state, leaving moral decisions and religious expression solely to the private realm. PS. YOU ALL NICE TO ME! That 1 in conservative column must be a mistake. |

I would never call myself conservative and managed to get a 33%. Imagine my horror.
What's real funny was when my fiancee and I took a political test. She is usually right of me on fiscal policy, but the test labeled me a "strong Democrat" and her a "socialist." It was pretty funny.

I'm part centrist and part socialist in my thinking, which is why I get very different results on different tests.
