I do like the way in which this test separates issues, since it does seem, for example, that foreign policy hawks tend to be supportive of the law and order agenda. It focuses too much on fiscal issues, though, so it puts me on the right even though I belong left of center:

I appreciate all replies. Thank you very much.

That is true of nearly all "either, or" propositions. I frequently didn't fully agree with either proposition, but I chose the one that was closer to my viewpoint from a political perspective. For example, while I am personally pro-environment, I don't support the government taking the primary role in environmental protection, since I consider this unnecessary and counterproductive. Accordingly, I answered "not exactly". I think that this test will separate neocons from hardcore conservatives with its separation of social and defense/crime issues, though.

I believe why I hate that environment question so much is because I think taking care of the environment is a social responsibility. That doesn't mean I approve of it being a government responsibility. Same goes with the corporate responsibility question... but what makes the environment one worse is that being responsibile for the environment does not necessarily mean hurting the economy.

In the long term, what benefits the environment benefits the economy, and that is why free-market environmentalism will work. Some socialistic types don't see it that way, though.
