its definelty worth nothing.as i said,we have no constitution when we have a government of the corporations, for the corporations and by the corporations instead og the people which is the case and that sounds like every president we have had since JFK the REAL president we had who was for the people which is why our government killed him of course.
I would have to greatly disagree that we are a nation for the corporation, by the corporation.
We are a country of public unions, illegals, and welfare recipients, for those groups.
I don't see Taxes being raised for Corporations. I do however see Taxes being raised so welfare does not get cut, so public Union workers can continue to get raises even when they arn't performing their duties.
Our politicians are making laws to protect the illegals instead of protecting Americans.
We are having American lives taken. because the drug cartel is moving into our border states.
The democrats won't do anything to deter that because they want amnesty so they can get another 13 million voters. so they can try to win more elections.
We have states going and searching for people who can qualify for welfare so they can try to get their vote in the next election.
We have public unions spending millions of tax dollars to try and get Democrats elected so they can make more deals to get them better benefits, higher pay. and less work.
Corporations have been under attack by the liberal agenda for decades.
The answer is always Raise taxes. never cut spending.
Corporations have been sending work out to many different countries, where they can get the labor cheaper. because the taxes make it impossible to keep jobs in the U.S.
Laws are made where businesses could be sued for everything. even when its the idiocy of the person using the product.
If the United States politicians would learn to live within their means like the expect Americans do do. then we wouldn't have all the issues we have today.
When America is going broke the politicians Idea to solve that problem is to print more money and spend more money.
Well our kids and grandkids are going to have to find someway to make that money back. and to pay of the debt.
Our kids, and grandkids are not going to have the benifits that we afford today. because this country is going to go broke. Because the ruling class that uses tax money to get what they want is just going to keep spending tax money.
Why is it that somebody who is to lazy to get off their ass and get a job. be able to stay home and make money, have free babysitting, through the Government?
Why is it that a teacher who does nothing all day and does not help provide a good education to their students get a raise each year? get free medical? get a free pension?
Why is it that after a Public Union member has worked for 10 years its basically impossible to fire them. even when they don't perform their duties?
In Los Angeles the DWP raised prices so they could go green? or was it to bail out los Angeles. or was it because they were running out of money. well whatever the end reason they used was.
Where was the extra money going? their banks have over a billion dollars in it. So obviously the DWP wasn't going broke.
after investigating a few of the DWP members while working. They saw several on duty going to a strip club and staying all day.
They had some driving while drinking beer.
They had some going to family picnics.
most big Corporations in the U.S. are publicly traded Corporations. meaning that anybody owning stock has a part of that company.
so American citizens who own stock are getting a benefit out of it.
What do Americans benefit from the Public Unions

I'm willing to change my position at any time on any issue. I have done so in the past. All you need is a logical, provable case, and I'm all in. The question is, have you got what it takes?
Oh, and just so you're not confused, I'm an apatheist libertarian.

Hi, all. Newb here, maiden post, etc. Hope it's all right if I make a comment or two.
I agree with those who claim that America was intended to be a constitutional republic. I think that much was clearly stated by the Founding Fathers in their various essays, speeches, etc.
Constitutionalism was derived in part from Locke's refutation of Filmer's insistence on the propriety of monarchical absolutism: If there is no divine right of kingship, then what else can lead to the formation of civil society but agreement or force? Hamilton echoed this question when he asked "whether [societies of men are] forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on accident and force." Thus, to avoid the inconveniences of accident and force the Framers adopted the metaphor of the social contract and then realized it in the form of a written constitution.
Republicanism, of course, simply was the substitute for outright democracy: (ideally) reflective delegates vs. direct participation by the impassioned mob.
So I think "constitutional republic" is a very accurate description. As to the extent of that government's power, it somewhat depends on whether you plant your flag nearer Hamilton or Madison. Hamilton appeared to be more content with an energetic national government, especially in the area of foreign policy and economics. Madison, on the other hand, favored a much more limited role for the national government, even going so far as to advocate the principle of nullification.
I tend to be more of a Madison man, mainly because the big government folks haven't yet convinced me that the federal government is any wiser or more capable of good government than are the several state republics.
Finally, since I'm new I don't know anything about the established friends, enemies, and factions here, so I may be walking into a hornets' nest; but I thought MegadethFan's comment was interesting -- Australian or not. And besides, the term "polyarchy" is an American creation. Having said that, I don't necessarily agree with MDF's observation. I'll have to dust off my Dahl, but my view of the polyarchical model was that it is fairly redundant -- that is, it adds to the lexicon of political science only nominally, without broadening our understanding of either politics in general or American politics in particular. But then, I never quite took Dahl seriously so long as he continued to downplay the significance of natural rights theory in American political philosophy.
Welcome aboard. Thanks for the intelligent post. They are rare here, unfortunately, as you will discover.
