Well how do you know if that happened unless you know what rights you have..? If you believe in a loose interpretation of things then you could condense it to a few. It's your theory, I'm not telling you how to theorize, I'm just tryin to give some constructive feedback.

Good luck. I would try and create my own idea for a government but...I'd end up copying one system and not even know it...or I'd start and wouldn't finish.

Wow, sorry guys, I just circled back around here and found an entire thread where there used to be just a couple of posts, so... well done!
Um.... you know, I really like that concept of "public humiliation". Seems to me, that is one of the most effective methods of punishment, for people who are "otherwise" mostly decent law-abiding citizens. Remember the "stocks"? The idea there, was, they were gonna just put you out in the public square for a day, or whatever, so all the little kids could make fun of you and all the adults could pee on you and stuff like that, and I mean, you know, it's like "everyone" gets to express their displeasure, right? ("within limits") - And it's all legally sanctioned and above-board and all that, and I mean, you know, if the guy's your friend you don't have to hit him, but there still might be this thought of "teaching him a little lesson" or something like that - And I mean, you know, if someone's sittin' there watching the whole thing, to make sure there's no abuse, then that would seem to me, to be "just about perfect". 'Course it wouldn't work on a murderer or a child molester, but I mean, it might work on something like a flasher, or maybe even a white collar criminal. Or, you know, "especially", on the teenager who steals a beer from the local liquor store, right? That guy, is gonna get soaked with everyone's leftover beer, and I mean, that's perfect, yes? |

Democracy is the worst form of government except for all those others that have been tried.
~ Winston Churchill Or maybe better: Freedom has many difficulties and democracy is not perfect, but we have never had to put up a wall to keep our people in. ~ John F. Kennedy |

A combination of the word Poly, meaning "many" and the word Ticks, meaning "Blood sucking insects."

And when the people finally are sucked dry, and thus have nothing to loose anymore, the next revolution is not far off, from revolution than arises tyranny, and when the tyranny crumbles democracy again rises and the whole process starts over again!
