However, they left out a few other things that the Nazi Party believed in such as a dictatorship, mass killings of scapegoated people, extreme censorship, etc, etc. or maybe your wording actually meant most of that. I would bet every political party actually has a platform where you can agree on at least some of the items. The fact that Nazis were for certain items doesn't mean the items suddenly became evil.

Actually in the matter of abortion you are correct up to the point of, if you were wealthy you could arrange to have an abortion as an Aryan.

Yeah they were in many ways including humane treatment of not only domestic animals but wild animals too. Set aside wildlife areas. They actually set guidelines for what is todays Humane Society, go figure.

I wouldn't say they were anywhere near the laws on the books today but the Nazis were way ahead of the rest of the world when it came to the treatment of animals. I had a link written down here somewhere and I can't find it. It goes on about the "Strictest Animal Rights Laws" ever enacted at that time.

I think some of it ties into Himmler (chicken breeder) and paganism.

I kind of figured this post was an effort to compare the democratic party to either Communism or Nazism. I picked the wrong one.

You feeling guilt or just a Freudian slip? I never made a suggestion as to what party these ideals were held by. My Opa was Waffen SS so I had a little history on some of this. I myself am not a Nazi.

It always amazes me how people read into things.

Neither, I have just seen too many misleading posts on this forum, and with all the references to liberals and democrats being commies or nazis I assumed this may be one of them.

However, I will take your word for it when you say there was not hidden agenda in your original post (it is in the "Political Science" section, after all). My apologies if I offended!
