Default Hope is such a precious thing my friend!

oooooo now where's the hope in that trot?

Its the dreamers of the world that revolutionize.

I think Mr martin Luther King said it the best...

"I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character"

and what did King accomplish?

...

Dreams... the life bread of hope I'd say. And hope? the road to a better world. It may not solve everything, but it (*)(*)(*)(*) near solves alot. And what would life be like if it was perfect??

I am not nationalistic. Do greed and nationalism have a great deal of influence on you?

I would like to say no, but that would be a lie.

I am sure those two negative forces do influence me in many subtle (and not so subtle) ways.

I clearly think differently than I did many years ago and it would be fair to say that I have sold out many of my beliefs for a good salary and a senior position in the organisation.

I can rationalise all my decisions but I doubt they would all bear scrutiny.

I am sure I am not alone in this.

Nothing is less sincere than the Chardonny socialists of this world, although the fundamentalist Christians who support wars of aggression and the death penalty run a very close second.

Maybe I am wrong.

Cheers,

Trot

Default tutut

I think everyone has a crack in their personality... perhaps he would be overrated if we ignored the bad points about him, however, its not that we have ignored the bad points but celebrated the goodness in him. He did a wonderful thing in America, and that is why we love him. Same as Churchill helped the british through WW2. What he did was amazing, and we celebrate him for it, but he was a womanizer and arrogant. He's not over-rated, simply idolised for his goodness.
Why don't you like Martin Luther King?

When you do something good, would you like it, or think it was right that no-one would praise you because of a fault in your personality?
When i do something good, i get praised for it. The faults in my personality are still there... I'm not being praised too much simply because i have faults. tutut

Cuba is a land were every person have the right to free healthcare, free education. Cuba has one of the best doctors in the world, and even though it is a poor country, their education can be compared to western nations.
Castro is a dedicated man who work for the people.
how come the great free people of Cuba are often risking their lives to get on a homemade boat to sail to America? An awful lot of then die trying. If they are intercepted, they get sent back to the dedicated man's prisons.

Default Because

Because of US propaganda. Correct me if I am wrong: If a guy from Cuba manages to escape to the US, he will be allowed in the country. If it was an iranian, I doubt he will be in the country for a long time. The US wants Cubans in the US because of they are bitter enemies, and because Cuba has free education, which means Cuba will waste money, and the US will not have to pay for education!

Why do people flee from Cuba to America? Because they believe that once in America they will become instant millionaires, that's why. Once they get there though they become part of the 38 million people living below the poverty line in America.
