Well, San FranSICKO is definitely becoming the city of non-breeders.

    That's what they wanted, right?

Families' exodus leaves S.F. with lowest pct. of children in U.S.

They're just following the typical European model of society. No kids and a metropolitan "night life" lifestyle

Less kids mean the potential for less kids being brainwashed and turned into a homo. So its a good thing their leaving.

Heh, they think they have revenue problems now...wait until the current generation of taxpayers starts dying off. Their lifestyle choices will come back to bite them with the reduced taxpayer stream that their kind of decisions promote.

They're running normal families with kids outta there. Every law they pass is family or child unfriendly. Going after kids meals, meddling in parents decisions, allowing nasty butt ugly old queers to stroll the streets and restaurants with no clothes on. How can anyone eat with that in their midst. And putting their neked beehinds on the restaurant chairs. unsanitary.

It's legal in that city to be naked in public. No doubt responsible parents do not want some old naked dude playing with thier kids. Or having thier toddlers sit where some nasty naked person was sitting before leaving poop stains. San Fran is the Sadam and gamorra of our country. Very little god and a whole lot of sin.

Yeah right. Crazy nudists, drug abuse endemic, AIDS epicenter of America. I wouldn't take my kid within 50 miles of the city limits.

Ah its so cute when all the homophobes get their panties in a wad when San Francisco gets mentioned.

As a father who lives in San Francisco I have to say that most of you do not have a single clue. The article is fairly succinct- this place is expensive to live in- houses and rents are expensive.

Many of our friends chose to move to the suburbs before having kids, but we didn't. We live in a wonderful neighborhood. My daughter walks to school everyday. She loves her school and is getting an excellent public education.

We are close to our wonderful Golden Gate Park, and beaches, and the Presidio. I don't know what the weather is like for you today, but today is a beautiful sunny warm day.

What you will find is that there are lots of families in San Francisco- but the drain of families to the suburbs is something that has been going on for at least the last 60 years. That is why many of the Italian families who live here up until the 50's or 60's now live down the Peninsula.

So the problem with families in San Francisco is the price of real estate- and there is a reason for that- we have about 36 square miles of space that cannot be expanded.

Our wonderful system of Capitalism works on supply and demand- there is a finite supply and an always increasing demand for real estate- so the prices keep going up.

Exactly- I didn't get to that but that is part of the dynamic in San Francisco- lots of highly paid young professionals in Finance and from Silicon Valley flock to San Francisco because it is an exciting place to live. Go to the Marina or South Beach or Valencia Street to see the young and beautiful flocking.

They cycle through, keeping property prices high, before heading off either to the suburbs or NY or LA for other business opportunities.

Meanwhile to all of the homophobes out there- it is just as bad as you think. Keep your bile and hatred where you live now and do not come visit us.

    Think of the children.

SF ain't a soap opera with nothing but good looking people, its a dirty ass city with too many (*)(*)(*)(*)ing hills and bums. I'm glad all you heterophobes like staying in your (*)(*)(*)(*)ty city. The more of you homos are there, the less of you folks will be in the rest of America. The only good thing about SF is when there are fires.

Ummmm.....do homophobic bigots automatically lose the ability to read?

There's nothing in the article that refers to sexuality. There are fewer children there simply because of cost. SF is an incredibly expensive area to live and raise a family.

    I say ......so what?

If costs are too high, and families can't afford to live there, then so be it. I do not support subsidizing so certain races or families can live in a high priced area. Section 8 housing is a boondoggle and complete cluster puck.

    Entitlements are pathetic

So they have stopped breeding and spreading their insanity.

    Good.

Should just be a few decades and the nut-cases should have exterminated themselves.

This is really good, in 50 years all these liberal loons that ruined a once beautiful city will be dead, and sane people will take it back.

Nah, won't be our problem anymore. It'll be just another slum city in the great nation state of Aztlan. That is if the civil war to create it leaves anything besides scorched earth.

There's a reason for the phenomenon you cite. San Francisco is not a child friendly city. The only people who live in SF and have children are Chinese. Their culture can overcome the buttfok culture of San Francisco.
