Nice piece, btw, and not just because I completely agree with it...

My father's side of the family is extremely skin-color obsessed (I attribute it to small town mentality)... some of my cousins are too dark and some of us are too light... Apparently, there IS a perfect shade of brown, but none of us have achieved it yet-- and quite frankly, I have NO idea what it is... I just KNOW I'm not it, especially at this time of the year... I think I need to go tanning...

Thanks to my mom, neither my sister nor I have that issue-- none of the external crap-- race, ethnicity, nationality, religion-- is important... personally, I'm of the Bulworth school of Race Relations:
