Apparently there was a racial turf war between black and hispanic inmates at a California jail. I have always known that racism was not a white on minority thing as liberals would have you believe, but racism goes in all directions from all groups of people.
After seeing this incident on the news, it got me thinking about what I have noticed in the city where I live in. Even though it is very diverse, I have noticed that asian, black, and hispanics tend to stick with there own and not integrate with one another. It will be interesting to see what happens in this country as America becomes more diverse.

Black and Hispanic inmates were being segregated and a lockdown was ordered systemwide, Sheriff Lee Baca said.

Read between the lines; the majority of racial tension occurs between whites and minority groups. Why don't we work on eliminating Neo-Nazi and KKK influence first in the country, okay?

This is prison, a whole other animal. Forming a group is nigh essential to survival and protection and what is more primal than sticking with those that look like you? Is this another revelation?

PPL stick to their own kind and thier own culture. It is not just a black and latino thing it is a tendacy of human nature.

Your statement would have been true if this was 1960 or 1950. Apparently you are still stuck in the past, or you are just a product of our liberal education system. How many KKK or Neo-Nazis are there in this country? I would say about 10,000 people max. While one mega Los Angles gang has at least 10,000 people in it alone. However, in the early to mid 90s, La Eme started dictating orders from the inside. They would send representatives to hold meetings with the heads of the Latino gangs and order them to stop killing ‘their own’ and direct their anger to those of other races, namely Black people.

Killings between the two races escalated so much that there was a point where just being Mexican, or just being Black, was reason enough to get killed by the other group.

I'm not sure what the point of your thread is. Everyone always knew that racism is not a white problem, it's a human problem. If they didn't know before, they do now.

That's what I understood too, Clod. And as far as I know most liberals and everyone else know that whites do not have a monopoly on racism. But it seems to me that the further implication is to justify further racial divides using the existence of racism as the rationalization. Using the racism of others to justify... racism. Interesting.

Or is this like using ethnic groups and people base on their skin color as races and using the excuse found in the dictionary to justify such. When it is quite obvious that usage of the word, race, is what is causing all this hate among other people.

If we could just finally associate, white, black, asian, native american, hispanic, and everyone else as being one race of humans, then maybe we can finally learn to get along with one another.

We're not all the same race. We have different appearances, cultures, ancestries, languages, and traits. The solution to racism is not all becoming part of one race but accepting people for their differences.

To say that we're all the same is just being ignorant to fact.

And to reply to an earlier post that whites proportionately commit the most hate crimes; perhaps thats because we're the vast majority.

In a certain manner, I agree on your assessment of difference. There are differences and tolerance of differences is better than trying futily to melt together into one group (that actually tends to be the bleeding-heart liberal position- tolerance, rather than assimilation).
But are the differences in skin colors truly meaningful? It is one thing to say that we have different traditions, religions, and languages. But if all these things are held in common, is the color of our skin a worthwhile difference? Is it somehow more significant than differences between people of the same color?
Then we come across the fact that people have commonalities between ethnicities, religions, and languages (though might have a hard time communicating them) and differ from people in the same groups. When it comes down to it, classes of any kind are generalizations that contain error as they involve assumed collections of traits.
So it makes sense to treat others as though we are one human race even as we tolerate differences (provided it is a mutual tolerance), thus judging others by merit and personal traits rather than by broad generalizations and pretension.
