Well Duhhhhh
http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/pro...008&ID=6085419 October 08, 2006 11:41 PM ET A bleak picture of the corrosive effects of ethnic diversity has been revealed in research by Harvard University's Robert Putnam, one of the world's most influential political scientists. His research shows that the more diverse a community is, the less likely its inhabitants are to trust anyone – from their next-door neighbor to the mayor. This is a contentious finding in the current climate of concern about the benefits of immigration. Professor Putnam told the Financial Times he had delayed publishing his research until he could develop proposals to compensate for the negative effects of diversity, saying it "would have been irresponsible to publish without that". The core message of the research was that, "in the presence of diversity, we hunker down", he said. "We act like turtles. The effect of diversity is worse than had been imagined. And it's not just that we don't trust people who are not like us. In diverse communities, we don't trust people who do look like us." (continued...) [/b]

This is an anonymous forum. I have no way of knowing whether or not that is true. If it is true, then you are even less perceptive than I thought. The bottom line is that racism causes the racial strife to which your first post in this thread refers. If you want to end racial conflicts, start by ending your own racism. Your attempt to make a case for racism failed (yet again). Do you have any more garbage to heap on this site?

It's true only in so far as different groups perceive themselves as different groups. Not exactly a new find.
It's also true that going to college reduces tensions between different ethnic groups... because the tendency is that people will meet people of other groups and dispel stereotypes and learn that the groups are basically still human. But before I get to berating you further, I'll allow the good Professor to: Quote:

These differences are "socially constructed"- meaning they are not innate... but created by our culture? You don't say? Also not a new finding. And what? We should have a new us... rather than force them to be like us? You don't say? You mean if we learn to tolerate difference and welcome different people... they might begin to trust us more? You mean just forcing everyon to act the same only alienates and pisses people off and makes it harder for everyone to get along? Thank you, Professor. So by the researchers conclusions, it appears Force is correct. It is people like you who exacerbate the situation, Racist. That might help to explain how people who actually get to know others rather than judge them outright tend to throw aside prejudice a bit more. Much more than whiny fascists that spend all their time searching for racist propaganda and running away from Mexicans.

Genetic diversity is beneficial to the evolution of the human race (or any other species). But I bet you would probably just blame that on those meddling jewish scientists.
