What am I supposedto do about it then? I find the current growth racism worrying.

1. I do not whine, I just debate
2. I never bring up the colour of my skin, did not in my previous post
3. I am gay, I have no children
4. None of my family or friends are in jail, I never was
5. I am a good communicator
6. I can't understand a (*)(*)(*)(*) word Bill Cosby is saying!!
7. Racism is a clear problem, don't need to look for it under rocks
8. I have never recieved money for nothing from anyone, I am studying hard to get somewhere in life
9. As a matter of fact, due to the current situation in this country, the colour of my skin is closing doors, no opening them
10. I've never called white people that, I do not swear


And lastly, Nellie, I complain about growing racism, because I believe it is a huge problem in this world, and, Nellie, I am white.

So can you help me too? How can I combat racism?

Nah... Nellie's just one of those guys who thinks that the only existing problem of racism is when it annoys him by getting on his TV. I was like that when I was twelve. Since then, I've left the house on occasion and figured out that, yes, there are a lot of @$$holes out there that keep discrimination alive. It's not all in the heads of the minorities. Granted, when taken to an extreme the victim mentality can be a self-fulfilling prophecy and I think Bill Cosby was right in some of his claims... But blaming minorities for racism is like blaming women for rape.

As for the real hardcore racists like our pal AR and the jackoffs passing out litter in damooster's neighborhood... They're not actually gaining much. They're still a fringe that just screams a lot.
But I wouldn't say buying a gun was a bad decision. Those racist %#$&s are paranoid, on the fringe, and many have been known on occasion to get violent. While they may have little power politically, they individually may have power to cause great harm to people for no reason other than skin color. As bad luck would have it, quite often these thugs pump iron to make up for their lack of brains.
If a racist slimebag threatens your life, you have every right to blow his brains out.

Spoken like a true white person. Nellie if you were any more ignorant, i'd say you were stupid. If anyone is to blame for the cultural behavior in black communities today, it's the whites. The whites were so oppressive and exclusive they drove the blacks to create a culture of their own. For all the white's out there complaining about rap music and it's vulgarity, i applaude you without you this never would have happened. As for the language (#10) i recall all the horrible profane names the white had for the blacks, they are just returning the sentiment. Whites created or rather invoked black power, black pride. If anyone is really complaining it's those ignorant white folk. Think about it, you know it's true.

What it do?

I find this issue odd.
My wife is Asian so she often calls me vry white when I naively state the basic legislative fairness of modern society as opposed to years ago. We differ in that I feel private organizations should be allowed to set any criteria for membership (so long as we have a public sector). Minorities tend to be a bit more scared of that and I think it's understandable.
To a certain extent I can give people like Nellie a bit of slack in that it's easy for us white people to go on thinking everything is fair and discrimination is gone. But people like AR do exist and some lighter versions even do get into positions of power on occasion.

I think every race deserves its own homeland, political correctness and diversity have just not worked if everyone were seperated and left to their own kind this would be a much happier world, but as long as diffrent kinds of people are put together there will be increased racial tension and violance, and if you ask me those so called "criminal neo-nazis" were merly trying to preserve the society that whites have worked hard for and built up and they just don't want it destroyed by minorites.

Of course without exception of those of differing races that do get along just fine... and then when crime persists what? Blame religious difference? Next? Class? Will we have to keep classes compartmentalized (ie ascription)?
The real question is why some people do get along despite class/ethnicity/race differences. Discover that and you have a solution.
Blame the difference and you'll eventually have everyone imprisoned in their own ascribed little clique.
